Agenda Topic 1: Meeting Overview, Welcome and Intros

Attendees from last week: Wendy ShawBrenda Ingram, Rania Laing, Murtaza Balasinourwala, Mohamed Sharaf, Mahmoud Chams, Zeinab Husain

Agenda Topic 2: PNG444PNG PI Head Office Management

  • The PI Global Impact Board formed of RL, BI, WS, RE and RH met on Sun 22 May 2021.
  • Team shared impact intention was captured as Liberating Human Spirit
  • Weekly team meetings will be held every Sunday at 9am UK/ 10am Geneva/ 12noon Dubai.
  • Through liberation, collaboration and delegation the team will use the weekly meetings to keep the PI system moving forward by creating and developing the cascading strategy.

    Agenda Topic 3: PNG111NGC International Green Council

    1) Where are we now

    • The Board met on Fri 21 May and discussed the level 5 impact goal for the IGC for the next phase of development.

    2) What do we want 

    • We want to have a clear purpose captured in a single strapline that all the IGC regional boards will understand.
    • We want 1) strong governance; 2) clear and accurate inclusive language; and 3) Best practice transferred from experience across multiple fields - to be combined and demonstrable in what we want to achieve and how we want to work.
    • We want to be able to focus on our impact and so we will have awkward conversations and challenge each other to shed light on blind spots to bring out the best of ourselves and each other.

      3) Next steps for how to get involved

      • At the moment the next steps are within the Board members to verbalise the essence of our shared impact into a few simple words. 



      Agenda Topic 4: PNG111BFH Brands For Humanity

      1) Where are we now

      • We have interest from corporations who wish to become a Brand For Humanity.

      2) What do we want 

      • Using the Impact model and algorithm, we have an evaluation criteria by which businesses can be rated. A business that achieves a minimum score of 3040 through demonstrate able people, project and impact strategies classifies as a Brand For Humanity.

      3) Next steps for how to get involved

      • Businesses who are interested must undergo an internal audit process. Contact Brenda Ingram for assessment enquiries.
      • RL and MS to meet to discuss the corporate application of humanity strategies.

         

        Agenda Topic 5: PNG111RFH Research for Humanity

        1) Where are we now

        • We have identified the need to create research opportunities for school and University students in the UAE to learn about conservation.
        2) What do we want 
        • Through collaborative efforts between Platinum Heritage, DDCR and local schools and businesses, we can help engage students in meaningful experiences that educate on the value of all forms of life and Live in Harmony with Nature.

        3) Next steps for how to get involved

        • AK and RL to create meetings with Platinum Heritage and local schools to form a strategy that can be used to create positive impact.

         

        Agenda Topic 6: PNG111LSF Legacy

        1) Where are we now

        • The PI Legacy Webinar was held on 19 May 2021 and attended by 23 attendees of which 5 have showed interest in PI and collaborations.

        2) What do we want 

        • We want to grow our tribe through collaborative expansion.

        3) Next steps for how to get involved

        • Rania Laing to connect with each on LinkedIn and arrange follow up meetings on Zoom.

         

        Agenda Topic 7: YNC111WNG Wealth Angels

        1) Where are we now
        • Material is completed and feedback from educators has been positive.

        2) What do we want 

        • An online microsite is now required for the project to facilitate communication, engagement and sign-up for implementation.

        3) Next steps for how to get involved

        • Contact Rebecca Ellis to support on material, content development and execution.
        • Contact Rania Laing to support on promoting as part of comprehensive sustainability guidelines that will be presented to KHDA.

            Agenda Topic 8: PNG111TRF Arts for Humanity

            1) Where are we now

            • New collaborators are interested in developing commercial concepts that bring more community focus to F&B outlets.

            2) What do we want 

            • We want to demonstrate that human values and sustainability principles can work for businesses through commercial models like franchising and licensing.

            3) Next steps for how to get involved

            • Rania Laing is working with external partners interested in becoming revolutioners.

              Agenda Topic 9: PNG111SFH Sports for Humanity

              1) Where are we now

              • We have plenty of ideas on how to get Sports to be better represented everywhere in communities.
              2) What do we want 
              • We want to form a Steering Committee to develop this project further.

              3) Next steps for how to get involved

              • Contact Brenda Ingram to join the team that will meet on a regular basis.

               

               

              Agenda Topic 10: PNG111SRX Sustainable Resources

              1) Where are we now

              • Focus this week is on creating education materials to enable teachers to deliver lessons for sustainable wood. From finding supplies to product manufacture, carpentry/woodwork skills, plus sales and marketing to generate a profit for a business. This initiative will raise money for Dubai Cares.
              2) What do we want 
              • We want to create lesson plans, get local private schools onboard, produce a market place to sell the products and teach underprivileged children how to create opportunities from local sustainable resources like wood.

              3) Next steps for how to get involved

              • RL to brief MB on the P5 6 Lesson Plan structure.
              • PI website to be used for e-commerce and money raised to be donated to Dubai Cares.
              • MC is interested in adapting this strategy to support Syria.

               

              Agenda Topic 11: PNG111SPX Sustainable People

              1) Where are we now

              • We have identified the need to help those affected by the pandemic to transfer their talents and skills to alternative industries for equal or better opportunities. E.g. Events professionals.
              2) What do we want 
              • We want to work with collaborating organisations to facilitate the placement of those with transferrable interests and skills. 

              3) Next steps for how to get involved

              • Those needing support are to sign up as Revolutioners.
              • If you know of companies that have temporary or permanent available positions, we want to work with them to get them filled. Speak to your contacts first and share an overview of PI, then connect them with Rania Laing or Brenda Ingram to arrange an introduction face-to-face or Zoom meeting.

              Agenda Topic 12: TRN222PNG Thriving Roots (Part of PNG111SCX Sustainable Economies)

              1) Where are we now

              • We are getting ready to pitch for CSR budgets and sponsorship.
              • Sister Rita and the nuns at Auxilim Convent School (400+ children/girls) and Orphanage (rag picker's children or abandoned - 40 children) require support to develop buildings, facilities, and education. They wish to expand to accommodate another 50 and develop their English skills to support a better future for the children, especially girls. 
              • Many previous students are benefactors as well as benefactors from Rome. Unfortunately, many private benefactors have died from COVID 19.

              2) What do we want 

              • We want major brands to sponsor and support our community projects as part of their CSR/marketing strategies. With full transparency of revenue spend.
              • We want to set-up adequate financial structures that enable children to access managed education funds.

              3) Next steps for how to get involved

              • For your contacts working for major brands, speak to your contacts first and share an overview of PI, then connect them with Rahma Himid to arrange an introduction face-to-face or Zoom meeting.
              • Separate meeting required with Sister Rita to help the mission of Auxilim Convent School and Orphanage.
              • ZH - is an active member of Robin Hood Army in India, present in 170 cities - with the purpose of eradicating food waste and supporting anti-poverty.
              • MB - Sister Rita has statistics to support Fact Sheet research

               

              Agenda Topic 13: YNC222XPX Expo (S16 Experiential Reporting )

              1) Where are we now

              • Brenda is commencing secondment to the operations control room of Expo 2020 site from 1 June 2021.

              2) What do we want 

              • Brenda shall be tracking and recording of S16 strategy through live application at Expo.
              • Learnings will generate a case study of how the Impact Model applies to a major event like Expo.

              3) Next steps for how to get involved

              • Ahsan Khan will be supporting the data information input and analysis using the following software: Wrike, Shopify, Scrivener, Excel and ActiveCampaign.

               

              Agenda Topic 14: AOB

              5 June - World Environment Day - No To Plastic - MB is promoting stopping the usage of single use plastic in all corporations. MB to arrange a meeting with Peter from Environment Agency this week. Botijo, Liquid of Life, No More Bottles identified as collaborating business partners. ZH - Branding options can be used by companies to promote their company's commitment to sustainability. WS can connect with corporate gifting companies that can provide these. Starting at an immediate level for any company is important.

              Suggestion by MS on how we can promote traditional cultural products that were previously used to cool water in Egypt in the olden days.
