Agenda Topic 1: Meeting Overview, Welcome and Intros

Attendees: Wendy ShawBrenda Ingram, Rania Laing, Murtaza Balasinourwala, Mohamed Sharaf, Chloe Griffin, Zeinab Hussain, Sister Rita Fernandes, Ahsan Khan, Rebecca Ellis, Saasha Gulamani, Hatim Morbiwala.

We followed a new format that would be more welcoming and help newcomers understand our collective purpose, introduce each other and highlight a featured project that is providing our learning this week.

Agenda Topic 2: PNG444PNG PI Head Office Management

  • The PI Global Impact Board formed of RL, BI, WS, RE and RH met on Sun 30 May 2021 with AK.
  • Team discussed development of Monday meeting to be about weekly learnings with a focus on select projects rather than all projects.
  • This will be a visual presentation and create more relevance, provide structured updates for reporting and support consistency across teams.
  • Actions were agreed for Brenda and Ahsan to meet for shared filing structures for Google Drive; Rania to activate Scrivener for Ahsan; Rania and Rahma to review and restructure resources section on website as well as create an automated welcome series for volunteers and media to learn about PI. Rania will prepare slides for Monday meeting, too.

    Agenda Topic 3: PNG111NGC International Green Council

    1) Where are we now

    • The Board were unable to meet on Friday 28 May 2021. However, in separate conversations Rania, Asad, Rahma and Brenda discussed how the sustainable resources aspect of Thriving Roots can encompass sustainable farming and ocean conservation in the UAE and identified possible collaborators.

    2) What do we want 

    • We want to engage with local and international green associations, sustainable farms and other organisations that wish to collaborate for shared goals.

      3) Next steps for how to get involved

      • Rania has invited Chloe Griffin to join the Monday meeting (representing Azraq and Chloe Blue Scuba Diving) and arranged a meeting with Darryl from Freestyle Divers and Asad for Wednesday 2 May 2021. Freestyle have a marine conservation training room located in Dibba, Fujairah. Both Chloe and Darryl are interested in schools education.



      Agenda Topic 4: PNG111BFH Brands For Humanity

      1) Where are we now

      • Education is required for corporations to understand the importance of community as their market. 

      2) What do we want 

      • Engagement with Brands who are aligned on causes, who will look at investing in community over short term sales.
      3) Next steps for how to get involved
      • RL and MS still to meet to discuss the corporate application of humanity strategies.
      • RL and RH to discuss media strategies.

         

        Agenda Topic 5: PNG111RFH Research for Humanity

        1) Where are we now

        • Positive feedback from Jen Green on strategies that support children learning conservation within the natural environment.
        2) What do we want 
        • Create and manage schools and education establishment who are interested in getting involve.

        3) Next steps for how to get involved

        • Awaiting AK and RL to create meetings with Platinum Heritage and local schools to form a strategy that can be used to create positive impact.
        • Thriving Roots will support the connection with schools.

         

        Agenda Topic 6: PNG111LSF Legacy

        1) Where are we now

        • The Legacy webinar can be used as an introduction to PI.

        2) What do we want 

        • We want to create more communication that explains the values and system.

        3) Next steps for how to get involved

        • Rania Laing still to connect with each attendee on LinkedIn and arrange follow up meetings on Zoom.
        • Further opportunities to explain principles can be used for media engagement.

         

        Agenda Topic 7: YNC111WNG Wealth Angels

        1) Where are we now
        • Project to be fully reviewed and a central filing structure implemented for alignment of status and reporting.

        2) What do we want 

        • A common shared filing aligned to the referencing system already established.

        3) Next steps for how to get involved

        • Ahsan Khan and Brenda Ingram to review and structure.

              Agenda Topic 8: PNG111TRF Arts for Humanity

              1) Where are we now

              • RL and CMc to attend weekly AFH meetings starting Wed 2 June 2021 where they will using ballet technique and class to unpack the value of Arts and Culture on society.
              • RL and ET are also conducting investigations on transferring energy from music to visual and vice versa.

              2) What do we want 

              • We want to understand the intangible value of creativity in order to learn the importance on community.

              3) Next steps for how to get involved

              • Contact Rania Laing to get involved in creative energy transfer research opportunities.

                Agenda Topic 9: PNG111SFH Sports for Humanity - no change.

                1) Where are we now

                • We have plenty of ideas on how to get Sports to be better represented everywhere in communities.
                2) What do we want 
                • We want to form a Steering Committee to develop this project further.

                3) Next steps for how to get involved

                • Contact Brenda Ingram to join the team that will meet on a regular basis.

                 

                 

                Agenda Topic 10: PNG111SRX Sustainable Resources

                1) Where are we now

                • Rise to Feed Campaign identified as a project to support sustainable resources and plugs into Thriving Roots.
                • Rise to Feed campaign will engage with schools, and support other projects.
                • MB has Environment Agency on board for support.
                2) What do we want 
                • A Rise to Feed microsite to support imminent launch.

                3) Next steps for how to get involved

                • RL and MB to produce microsite which will be linked from ANID and YNC websites.

                 

                Agenda Topic 11: PNG111SPX Sustainable People

                1) Where are we now

                • Director alignment and workload management required across teams. WS to calibrate team members and address balance to ensure sustainability.
                2) What do we want 
                • Creation of training programmes to ensure knowledge of the PI model is delivered to all those needing to know and use it.

                3) Next steps for how to get involved

                • Wendy Shaw to work on programmes and methods to support education. Wendy and Rania to have weekly one to one starting Thu 3 June 2021.

                 

                Agenda Topic 12: TRN222PNG Thriving Roots (Part of PNG111SCX Sustainable Economies)

                1) Where are we now

                • Thriving Roots has now developed into a 3 tier project. Rise To Feed is supporting Sustainable resources; 50 Schools Campaign is supporting multiple stakeholders and CSR/Sponsorship opportunities and Thriving Roots is executing internationally.
                • Campaigns have been positively received by representatives of schools, brands and the ICF Foundation.

                2) What do we want 

                • We want to learn from implementation on the three levels in order to be able to execute to the most vulnerable local communities.

                3) Next steps for how to get involved

                • Help with developing Fact Sheets is required for all three tiers.

                 

                 

                Agenda Topic 13: YNC222XPX Expo (S16 Experiential Reporting ) 

                1) Where are we now

                • Regular common reporting methods using Wrike have been established by BI and RL. 

                2) What do we want 

                • We want to be able to track 'live' learnings in the easiest way and share in a common place that allows exporting to be reviewed with clients and stakeholders.

                3) Next steps for how to get involved

                • Contact Brenda Ingram Rania Laing or Ahsan Khan for info on Wrike system.
