PI Terms and Conditions of Membership

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern membership in Purposeful Innovators CIC (“we”, “us”, “our”). By applying for or continuing as a Member (“you”, “your”), you agree to abide by these Terms.

 

1. Membership Eligibility

1.1 Membership is open to individuals or organisations who meet the eligibility requirements set out on our website or membership materials.
1.2 We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate membership at our discretion if criteria are not met.

 

2. Membership Benefits

2.1 Members will have access to:

  • Educational resources provided online or in person.
  • Opportunities to apply for participation in projects with our faculty, leadership, or partner organisations.
  • Events, networking, and other benefits as described in membership materials.

2.2 Access to benefits may vary by membership category and may change from time to time.

2.3 We reserve the right to add, remove and change Membership benefits at any time, based on how well we can deliver these benefits to the standard and quality we feel our Members deserve.

 

3. Membership Obligations

3.1 Members agree to:

  • Conduct themselves professionally and respectfully in all interactions with other members, faculty, and partners.
  • Use membership resources for personal/professional development and not for unauthorised commercial purposes.
  • Maintain confidentiality of any non-public information shared through projects or resources.
  • Comply with our Code of Conduct, project guidelines, and any applicable laws.

3.2 Members may not:

  • Misuse our name, logo, or intellectual property without written consent.
  • Share access credentials or distribute membership resources without authorisation.
  • Engage in harassment, discrimination, or conduct that may bring the organisation into disrepute.

4. Fees and Payment

4.1 Membership fees (if applicable) are payable as stated on our website or membership materials.
4.2 Fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable except as required by law.
4.3 We reserve the right to review and change membership fees with reasonable notice.

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 All materials, resources, and content provided by us remain our intellectual property (or that of our licensors). Members are granted a personal, non-transferable licence for their own use during their membership.
5.2 Any content created by Members as part of projects may be used, reproduced, or published by us, with appropriate credit to the Member unless agreed otherwise in writing.

6. Participation in Projects

6.1 Project participation is subject to application and selection processes, which may vary.
6.2 Acceptance onto a project is not guaranteed and may be withdrawn if Members fail to meet required standards of conduct, performance, or compliance.
6.3 Members must comply with all project agreements, policies, and relevant legal obligations.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

7.1 We collect and process personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
7.2 Our Privacy Policy (available on our website) explains how your data will be used. By becoming a Member, you consent to such use.

8. Term and Termination

8.1 Membership runs for the period specified at enrolment and renews upon payment of the relevant fees.
8.2 You may terminate your membership by providing written notice.
8.3 We may terminate membership immediately if you:

  • Breach these Terms;
  • Fail to pay fees;
  • Engage in misconduct.

8.4 On termination, your right to access membership benefits ends immediately.

9. Liability

9.1 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
9.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or business losses arising from membership.
  • Our total liability to any Member shall not exceed the total fees paid by that Member in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Complaints and Disputes

10.1 Members with complaints should contact us in writing at [Insert Email].
10.2 We aim to resolve disputes promptly and fairly. If unresolved, disputes shall be governed by English law and subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to Terms

11.1 We may update these Terms from time to time. Members will be notified of significant changes. Continued membership constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

12.1 These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
