Member Code of Conduct Based on Our Values
As Members of Purposeful Innovators CIC, we commit to upholding standards that guide our actions, decisions, and impact. This Code of Conduct is organised into five levels that reflect our shared responsibility that aligns with our Theory of Change: to educate ourselves, build communities, create value, serve people, and transform our planet. Each level defines what Members intend to do and highlights opportunities to become even more impactful.
Level 1: Education (Criteria 1–5)
Introduction
Education is the foundation of our membership. By investing capital, time, and resources into learning, Members commit to growing their skills, evaluating knowledge critically, and engaging with others in a respectful and accountable way.
Overview
Members commit to building knowledge, evaluating information accurately, and investing energy into learning. They engage with integrity, respect themselves and others, and collaborate for mutual benefit.
Opportunities
Deepen commitment to continual learning, develop stronger peer-to-peer accountability, and expand collaborative approaches. Members can set aside time for reflection and cross-disciplinary projects to increase both individual and collective worth.
Level 2: Community (Criteria 6–10)
Introduction
Community is where learning translates into action. Members shape processes and communications by regulating behaviour, acting independently yet courageously and with compassion, adapting to change, and contributing unique strengths that enrich collective progress.

Members participate actively in communities by regulating their behaviour, thinking independently, acting courageously and with compassion, adapting to change, and contributing their unique strengths.
Opportunities
Practise adaptive leadership, highlight distinctive contributions, and apply courage to challenge status quo thinking. By balancing independence with community, Members can drive more innovative and inclusive communication.
Level 3: Profit (Criteria 11–15)
Introduction:
Profit is about creating sustainable value. Members strengthen operations through reliability, passion, confidence in their skills, creativity, and pursuit of excellence, ensuring that what they deliver is both effective and impactful.
Overview
Members bring value to organisations through dependable delivery, enthusiastic engagement, professional confidence, creative problem-solving, and pursuit of excellence.
Opportunities
Formalise reliability through reporting standards, re-invest in continuous skill development, and create spaces for experimentation. Pursuing excellence means measuring not only outputs but also sustainable long-term impact.
Level 4: People (Criteria 16–20)
Introduction:
People are at the heart of purpose. Members act transparently, seek harmony, uphold justice, embrace responsibility, and embody integrity. Their decisions shape culture and contribute to society’s well-being.
Overview
Members engage transparently, work for harmony, uphold justice, act responsibly, and embody integrity. They align decisions with ethics and fairness, ensuring positive societal impact.
Opportunities
Cultivate deeper ethical reflection, strengthen systems for equity and inclusion, and openly address tensions rather than smoothing them over. This builds credibility and trust in community and leadership roles.
Level 5: Planet (Criteria 21–25)
Introduction:
Planet is where ambition becomes transformation. Members strive to advance humanity, build resilience, unify stakeholders, generate new solutions, and expand wisdom to inspire paradigm shifts for a better world.
Overview
Members seek to advance humanity and planetary well-being, resist negative external pressures, unify stakeholders for collective good, generate new solutions, and expand human wisdom to drive paradigm shifts.
Opportunities
Integrate planetary impact into all decisions, develop resilience strategies, and embrace bold innovations that unify profit, people, and planet. Expansion means leading paradigm shifts that redefine long-term impact at scale.
Member Promises
These Member Promises set out the practical commitments that guide how every Member of Purposeful Innovators CIC develops their intentions covering learning, collaborating, and contributing. They translate our shared values into everyday promises and behaviours setting a standard for self-accountability and self-regulation.
By agreeing to these Promises, Members affirm their responsibility to always strive to act with integrity, respect, and accountability. Each statement begins with I will... to emphasise personal ownership and commitment. Together, these Promises form the foundation of a professional and ethical community dedicated to creating positive impact at every level.
Level 1: Education
1. Worth. I will evaluate information carefully, using evidence and signals to make informed decisions.
2. Commitment. I will give focused and consistent attention to my responsibilities and learning.
3. Respect. I will value myself and others, recognising diverse contributions and perspectives.
4. Accountability. I will take responsibility for my actions, decisions, and their impact.
5. Collaboration. I will cooperate openly and constructively with others to achieve shared goals.
Level 2: Community
6. Regulation. I will monitor and adjust my behaviour and responses to remain constructive.
7. Independent. I will think, act, and express myself with agency and responsibility.
8. Courage. I will face challenges with honesty and without fear.
9. Flexibility. I will adapt to change and embrace new ideas.
10. Uniqueness. I will contribute my distinctive strengths and perspectives to the community.
Level 3: Profit
11. Reliability. I will be dependable, accurate, and honest in my work.
12. Passion. I will bring enthusiasm and energy to my commitments.
13. Security. I will strengthen and apply my knowledge and skills with confidence.
14. Creativity. I will seek new solutions and think beyond traditional approaches.
15. Excellence. I will strive for quality and continuous improvement in all that I do.
Level 4: People
16. Transparency. I will communicate openly and truthfully, while respecting confidentiality where required.
17. Harmony. I will work to build compatibility and alignment between people and ideas.
18. Justice. I will act with fairness, reason, and equity in decisions and behaviours.
19. Responsibility. I will consider ethical and social consequences in all actions I take.
20. Integrity. I will uphold ethical and moral principles in every situation.
Level 5: Planet
21. Humanity. I will act in ways that serve people and planet collectively.
22. Immunity. I will resist harmful external pressures and negative influences.
23. Unification. I will seek mutual benefit by bringing people and ideas together.
24. Generation. I will create and bring into existence new ideas, solutions, or initiatives.
25. Expansion. I will contribute to advancing wisdom and paradigm shifts for humanity.
