The Social Impact of the Arts and Culture Industries

The health of our global Arts and Culture Industry has a direct impact on our global communities.

Not only does artistic and cultural expression enable populations to comprehend external events, learn from their impact and help teach others how to see things from a different perspective, it drives a global commercial creative industry through media and branding.

The role that creativity has on developing a socially healthy mindset covers a multitude of aspects, including:

  • Spiritual Expansion - subliminal enlightenment, moments that feed the soul
  • Creative Integrity - insightful and wise messages delivered through expressive means
  • Ideation Excellence - newness of ideas and ingenious inventions
  • Diversity in Humanity - appreciation of talents and cultures that transcends differences
  • Artistic Collaboration - between artists as well as major brands

The Current State of the Arts and Culture Industry

Artists are often among the first to respond with creative approaches in times of crisis.

Following disasters, artists and their creativity have a key role in helping communities make sense of loss, reconnect and recover.

In these times of COVID-19, the arts sector continues to exhibit great acts of organising and solidarity, including many creative responses to make people feel included at a time of physical distancing.

The United Nations recognises this vital role, and has called on artists to help stop the spread of COVID-19 through ideas that encourage people across different cultures, languages, communities and platforms to adopt public health precautions, act in solidarity, and prevent the spread of misinformation.

However, across the arts community the impact of COVID-19 is catastrophic. Venues have shut their doors with little or no notice and organisations have been forced to cancel their programs and activities.

Hundreds of thousands of arts workers have had significant negative impacts to their immediate and future livelihoods.

The original ‘gig’ workers, the vast majority of artists work as freelance or self-employed in their art form (81%), relying most commonly on contracts for fixed amounts (43%) followed by royalties and advances (35%).

Sponsor today and help us overcome the unprecedented challenges to humanity.

We have not reinvented the guidelines for social value.

We have simply combined what we already know within our business and academic communities into an integrated and strategic commercial model that guarantees the delivery of social value for all including health, prosperity and life-long learning through conscious, directed change initiatives.

We want to tackle manipulation head-on. By forming an ethical collaborative ecosystem we believe we can eradicate suffering, globally. Bringing together creative collaborators, we know we will be able to advance humanity anywhere and everywhere, because collectively, we know how.

We want your help to fund education for those who would not normally have the funds or accessibility to receive it.

We believe that everyone can gain from collective wisdom. With your sponsorship we work with associations, government entities, start-up incubators, charities, state-funded educational institutions and other entities to ensure our programmes reach those who need them the most.

Support Our Payment Terms and You Support Social Impact

In order for Purposeful Innovators CIC to offer opportunities to those out of work, furloughed or experiencing financial hardship, we request full payment of projects at the time of booking.

This enables us to focus our efforts on delivering the highest quality of products, services, programs, innovations and material for all our clients, collaborators, beneficiaries, sponsors and partners instead of chasing payments and negotiating payment terms that diffuses our efforts away from making the greatest social impact that matters to everyone.

Our Programmes Collectively Support All 17 UNSDGs

These goals formulate the scope and strategy for positive impact.
